1. The cable is designed for EIA RS-232 or RS-422 applications, used as computer cables. Multi-pair cables are available. It could be widely used for production process control and Device Converter.
2. RS-232, RS-422 and RS-485 are all used for digital data transmission. The RS-232 standard is mainly used for COM ports or serial ports of ordinary computers. The RS-422 and RS-485 interfaces are mainly used to connect various devices in the industry. RS-232 and RS-422 transfer type is full duplex, RS-485 if Half duplex(2 wires), full duplex(4 wires). RS-232 Maximum distance at 9600bps is 15meters, RS-422 and RS-485 ones are 1200meters. RS-232 and RS232 topology are Point-to-Point,but RS-485 one is Multi-point. The three kinds cables are used for mechanical, electrical, signal, and transfer processes.
